Seal Point Photos being processed

The light was looking good around 14:30 today and J-Bay had almost no waves. I raced through to Seal Point to see if I could get anything. I just saved all images for the day onto hard drive now, and I must say I am stoked out of my socks with the clarity of some of the shots. I mean, I can see the sun's reflection in your eyeballs!

If you were surfing out there and you saw me with the big lens, then please contact me because I will most likely have a couple of nice photos of you and there are a few sequences as well. I'll upload a couple to this website so that you can see who you are.

Great stuff.  See you at the Bong!

A great painting

Painting by Gwen van JaarsveldHow's this cool painting my wife did of one of my old photos? (I took at Supers on a stormy day.) I am building a website for her to show off her work and will be running a couple articles on her work later on. She works in acrylic on canvas and that particular painting is 1.5m wide.

Xcel Supertubes Showdown running today

Okay. The SMS just came through. Xcel Supertubes Showdown is on today. Event will kick off at 11:00. If you are in J-Bay you better come and support the guys. Otherwise, just pop in over lunch. See you there. I'm gonna send a couple of emails and get my camera rig ready.

First photos uploaded since 2008!

Ja. So I got a little busy, and had no camera for a while. I am still busy, as usual, but I do have a new camera and we are getting to know each other. By popular demand I uploaded just a few photos so long. since I am working on the new SUPER DUUUPER jbaysurfcam.com, I don't want to upload all the stuff to the old website. Check the link top right called "2009" and you'll find all the 2009 photos. Totday was too wet and rainy for photos. I took a couple from the Isuzu, and will upload them when I have a chance. If you spot yourself over there and want the high res photos, then please contact me. I have to compress the photos horribly to save some bandwidth but keep all the originals in high resolution Nikon RAW NEF

Coming Storm

Right through cyberspace I can see your beady eyes and the frown on your face. You are scanning the J-Bay horizon on the webcam image behind your desk pretending to work on your deadline...Koffie said the guys must get their guns out so long, and I wonder if they comp will run with out of control sized swell. We'll just have to wait and see. Breaking news is that I just mowed the lawn. Stoked.
