Been grafting all morning and missed out on the amazing surf we had in J-Bay. The time I got into the water eventually, there was a bit of a chop and East blowing, but it soon cleared out and even though it was a bit crumbly, there were some great sets that came through. (I still have a couple of photo orders I need to send out, and am busy processing them, but as you can see I have been surfing a lot in the last week.)

I think my first wave today was one of the best waves I ever surfed. It did not barrel or anything, but I had a great run down the line at Supers and actually managed to throw some spray a couple of times, do a proper roundhouse cutback and pick up speed for the last section before I launched over the back of the wave. I was surprised how much speed I had and enjoyed a brief moment of flight when I popped over the lip. I had five or six more solid waves after that and then called it a day. Caught a foamy right through the channel and the rest was history. Wow.

I'll take photos next time. Lately I have been getting lots of orders and some of the pics from Sunday actually made it to Zigzag's Easter Gallery. I am pretty stoked. Thanks for those of you who bought photos of me, it makes it a little more worthwhile if I actually get money for taking pictures. I love taking pictures. My next goal is to get another D3 or a D3s and a waterhousing with a fisheye. I want to get a lensport for the 24-70mm lens as well, so that I can take some shots at Supers without being in the impact zone all the time. As mentioned before, I can now recieve Paypal payments. I am also busy planning a proper lightbox shopping cart where people can pay online for their photos with paypal and then donwload it directly from there. Little busy with some other deadlines including big work on Wavescape.co.za and once I'm done with that I'll give more attention to streamline my photo workflow.
