What I am up to

Well, what can I say. It´s silly season again. Only 10 days to the Billabong PRO and I am cruizing around town with a Brazo film crew. Very interesting.

Yesterday we went on a mission to find waves. J-Bay was terrible and onshore. I have been keeping my eye on this one spot for a while now, and it turned out that this place looked like a rip curl advert when we drove down the hill. Six foot A frame barrels, with so many setups I kept on loosing count. To the old Eastern Cape locals, this is nothing new, but for me this "discovery" was amazing. Basically a "where to surf if J-Bay is not working" spot. If you are willing to mission and have some time on hand that is.

We were also treated with the presence of Mr. Derek Hynd who had many amazing stories to tell and exhanged some footage with the film crew.

Closer to home, my home, my camera was collected by the couriers last week by the Nikon Pro Service after the shutter got stuck mid shoot last week. I am pretty nervous not having my D3 by my side, and hopefully they can fix it quick or send me a temporary replacement in the meantime. I really wish I had it with me to take some lineup shots of yesterday´s setup.

All in due time. Gotta run...
