I was recently filming with a Brazil film crew, as they wore T-Shirts with No Nukes in J-Bay sprayed on it. The maker of the movie, Thomas Mulcaire lives not far from a Nuclear power station in Brazil and is very aware of the effects such a development has on nature. They wish to show their solidarity towards us in the struggle to stop nuke development and create an awareness on an international level.
The starring surfers wore the t-shirts as we surfed J-Bay as well as Oyster Bay and they are including the No Nukes Campaign in their movie that will air on international television. The boys were also treated by having dinner over at Cheron Kraak´s and she urged us all to be at the march.
This is the post on Supertubes Surfging Foundation´s facebook page:
"Permission has been granted by the Kouga Municipality to hold a “No Nuke at Thyspunt” march on the 17th July at 9.30 a.m. opposite Billabong Factory shop.
March to the Municipal building between 10.15 and 10.30 a.m. Please request that everybody wears yellow or black. Everybody can bring their SA flag and vuvuzelas and... make a noise!" Cheron Kraak
