A Photo I took of myself somewhere in the Indian Ocean along Jeffreys Bay I moved to Jeffreys Bay in November 2006 after longing to move here all my life. I tried surfing 6 years ago at Point on rented surfboards and wet suits resulting in near bankruptcy and only standing on three waves. (So what if I used a Safari Spider 6.8 to start with and not a long board?) When I moved here, I paddled out as soon as I could lay my hands on a board. That was as far as my surfing pedigree went when I started this website. One of my areas of passion, excluding surfing, is photography. I used to be an "old school" SLR hobby photographer and could never afford to make the leap to digital. Not too long ago, I made that leap on thin air. (Read overdraft) I really love the freedom of taking hundreds of photos in a shoot and not having to worry about the development bill aftermath, if you catch my drift.

About the website

On this website you will find photos of people who surf in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa as well as a few lifestyle photos or maybe some sunrises and sunsets or just empty line ups. I frequent spots like Albatros, Point, Tubes, Super Tubes and sometimes Boneyards. Kitchen Windows is a bit out of my way, but maybe some guys can convince me to take a few? The photography I do is land and water based and I work hard to get my shots. I would not yet call myself a Pro, but I see how my photography improves daily. I believe that successful people begin where they are with what they have. I you want me to do a shoot for you or you want a print or a higher resolution image file of your photo, please get in touch with me on the "drop me a line" page. I might charge you something small but that will help me to fund my photography and even to upgrade my equipment. I am also available to do 1 or 2 hour shoots depending on my program, your program and the waves.
